Elf On The Shelf Breakfast!

This is the first year we've done Elf On The Shelf with our munchkin.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Elf On The Shelf: It's this adorable little elf that comes to your home and watches your children to find out whether they're being naughty or nice. The elf then uses Christmas magic and flies to the North Pole and reports back to Santa all about how your kids are behaving. The next morning your elf is back at your home, usually in a new spot doing something cute or mischievous (just look up Elf On The Shelf and you should find some cute pictures that will show you what I'm talking about).

So to introduce himself, our Elf put together a North Pole Breakfast for my munchkin.

Excuse the high chair and random toys in the corner there. I didn't notice they were in the picture until after I uploaded them to the computer.

Here is our little Elf hanging onto the Christmas Star on my munchkin's Christmas Tree.
You can kind of see the banner in the background (it's clearer in the first picture).

We had "Elf Approved Snow Milk" to drink.
I reused some of the bottled glass Starbucks Frappuccino drinks. I peeled the labels off of them, painted the tops red, and added the printable labels to them.

We ate "Yummy Strawberries"...

and "Snow Covered Donuts"
My printer stopped working so I had to make my tented labels the old fashioned way with card stock and sharpies.

Breakfast was a hit! My munchkin still hadn't gotten his appetite back completely since being sick over the last week, so it was a small breakfast.

I only used the banner and milk bottle labels. My printer gave out before I could print anything else... sad face :( All of the printables are really cute, and if my printer hadn't stopped working I definitely would have printed everything out. Oh well, maybe next year.

Hope you guys enjoy the free printables!

Thanks,
Sam

Christmas is coming!!! :D

I know this is a few days late... my munchkin got the flu over the weekend. I won't give you all the fun details.

Every year as a kid, my sister and I always had those fun little advent calendars that you buy at the store. You know the ones that have the chocolate and under each chocolate there's a part of the story of the birth of Jesus. So anyway, my munchkin just turned 2 last month, and since we don't really give him any chocolate I didn't want him having chocolate every day until Christmas. Instead, I found these really cute Christmas Countdown Printable from It Is What It Is. I used the printable numbers to put onto some plain brown paper bags.

Here is the link to the Countdown To Christmas printable. Enjoy!

I know mine aren't as cute as how she did it on her blog with the ribbon and decorative punch, but at 2 years old I don't think my munchkin really cared. Ha!

Each day I planned an activity for us to do, and in each bag there is a slip of paper (reminding me of what I planned for that day) and a little trinket or toy that went along with the activity.

Hope y'all enjoy the free printables! There's so many fun things to do during the Christmas season!

Happy Holidays!
Love, Sam

Welcome to KraftyChix!

Hey there! Welcome to my blog!

KraftyChix is my first blog EVER, and I am super excited about it! My name is Samantha. I'm a 22 year old soon-to-be wife, mother, and toddler teacher. Our son is almost 2 years old, and I work with 2 year olds in my classroom. I love teaching through arts & crafts, even at home with my son. You will definitely find lots of different ideas to do with your kids that are not only bunches of fun, but will also help them learn something new! I also love to cook and learn to cook new dishes, and I'm always on the lookout for new ways to help organize my life. There's going to be all sorts of different things you'll be able to find, mostly fun arts & crafts, but you'll be able to find plenty of other things and ideas on here as well. I'm always open to suggestion on new ideas for new postings, so suggest away!

I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I'll be enjoying posting new things to it!

Thanks,
Sam
